Duncan Murray is a 4th generation resident
of Carmel-by-the-Sea on California's central coast.

"My work is an interpretation of what some
have called 'organic minimalism', which is a term I find
more commonly used in interior design but that I apply
to sculpture through the medium of driftwood I collect
along the rugged Big Sur coast.

When it works, the result can
be at once meditative & engaging,
like following a well worn
yet unfamiliar path.”
 
Duncan's work has been sold and/or featured 
at the Carmel Art & Film Festival, the Minna Annex
of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and
the Westbrook Modern Galleries in
Carmel-by-the-Sea, among other venues.
